Last April 15, 2011, Trion Worlds announced that Rift Mobile Authenticator is now ready for download. RIFT Mobile Authenticator is a brand new app that provides an additional layer of authentication for your trion account and helps prevent unauthorized account usage.
To set up the RIFT Mobile Authenticator, follow the steps below:
1. First, you need to download the app here.
2. Install and run the Authenticator to obtain a unique serial key that will allow you to link the application to your RIFT Account.
3. Log in to your Trion Worlds Account and click the "Authenticator" link under "Account Security" on the Account Summary Page.
4. Enter the unique serial key generated by the Authenticator in the indicated field, complete the rest of the form, and click "Apply Serial Key".
Every time you launch RIFT, you will use the RIFT Mobile Authenticator to generate a unique serial code to enter into the login screen in addition to your password. This will surely help you feel secure about your rift platinum and other in-game credentials from hackers. :)
